  He said elder school emphasized 2 years and the existing body will be the leaders through persecution and tribulation.

  Wowzer are we ina hurt. The local bunch is feeble, unsmart, self serving, detached to varying degrees. The better ones died or moved.

  Persecution is usually brought from idiotic actions by the big wigs.

  Tribulation will come from the (not quite world power) leadership earthquake in the political scene; and secret knocks into the attic will be of no use.

  the seniors in our family were scammed by watchtower, for over 7 figures.

  an interesting read today to give some insight.. one of the most egregious con-artists is watchtower bible and tract society the “legal” entity for jehovah’s witnesses.

  many retired jehovah’s witnesses have been targeted over the years to “loan” money for various “special projects” to further the “preaching work”, only to find they are never to be repaid.

  It is pounded to use unrighteous money for good (WT). We boomers mostly want to leave a nestegg for our kids. And we witlesses ain't that rich.

  I will credit one (only) elder who told a well off widow to useher money for a medicine food and luxuries because the WT has more money than they know what to do with. She felt a strip steak instead of burger was wasting God's money

  the study article 2 from the january 2025 watchtower study edition titled “husbands, honor your wife” represents a marked shift from the earlier, stricter watchtower stance on marital intimacy among jehovah’s witnesses.

  this article’s language feels more relaxed, with paragraph 17 and its footnote stating, “the bible does not provide details as to what sexual practices between a husband and a wife should be considered clean or unclean.

  No, but never elder.

  40 or so years ago there were several hot shot couples (wife and I were not part of them) who married and then divorced within a few months. Every time the gossip was husband turned queer. That was when WT articles condemned oral and anal and specified these were practices of homosexuals and not for married couples. My hunch is that was the justification; along with jealousy over some of the hotter wives. Remember this was a time of naive sisters marrying men who worked construction where things like this were mentioned by the worldly crews.

  i wasn't surprised they didn't go online, i was shocked.

  the perfect opportunity handed in a silver plate.

  more time goes, more proof coming they took wrong decision going back to hall's.
